One of the things that I do to work on my show is record them. Nothing fancy, just a camera in the back of the room. I have a bad habit of almost forgetting to take my camera, so what I do is put a note in my case that simply says “camera now”.
When I’m packing up and I get to the note, I stop everything and go grab the camera. It’s a simple little thing that has saved me forgetting my camera many, many times!

Louie, thank you for that tip. I’ve made a joke over the years that losing my phone is almost like losing a loved one. Do you have your phone on a tripod in the back of the room or do you have someone film with your camera for you? I’m impressed by how much video you get of your performances. I’d like to up my game so I can review mine.

I have a video camera, so not a phone. I’m sure an old phone would work; however, for a 45+ min show and potentially multiple shows a day, swapping out SD cards is easier.
The camera is just on a tripod in the back of the room.
I think the advice Jon Armstrong gives is “record everything”. Even audio can be helpful!
