When I created the Evaporation gimmick I used it in my show for a routine that I only teach at my magic lectures (for now). I haven’t done this routine in my show for a while, in fact I stopped doing this routine about the time I started marketing the trick.
THEN…magicians would come to my shows and ask me why I didn’t use the Evaporation in my shows. So I sat down and wrote an new routine at the beginning of the summer and I’ve done it over a hundred times over the summer. It’s a solid routine that runs about 8 minutes and has a lot of laughs. If you are in the Fresno, CA area I’m performing the next 13 days at the Big Frenso Fair and I’ll be doing this routine all day in my shows. Come out and check out a show and see how I’m personally using the Evaporation gimmick
Honestly I think the new routine is better than the old one, has less prep an is easier to do. Also if you’re in the Fresno area I’m doing a magic lecture on 10/6 and will teach both routines that I’ve done with the Evaporation trick.

What gets me is that they are using illegally using ad copy, instructions, artwork and selling pirated versions of my DVD. I’ve recently noticed that several magic companies overseas are knocking off my Evaporation trick. What gets me is that they are using illegally using ad copy, instructions, artwork and selling pirated versions of my DVD.
While I’d still be annoyed if they were knocking off my trick but using their own art, instructions, etc at least no one would be confused as to whether or not they are getting a legit product. If you aren’t sure if you are here are a couple of easy ways to tell.
1. Sunny D Bottle: If you are buying the trick from a magic dealer the gimmicked bottle will be a Sunny D bottle in either orange or red. If it’s some other bottle and you didn’t get it from me as a custom build then it’s an illegal copy.
2. Bottle in English: If your bottle’s wrapper is in a language other than English it’s a knock off.
Another thing that gets me is a lot of the time these aren’t even sold cheaper than what the retail for an authentic Evaporation trick costs.
Also keep in mind that if you buy an Evaporation trick that wasn’t made by me I will not provide any technical support!

I use Evaporation in several shows that I present. Currently I use it in my Kid’s Show and my Family Show. If you don’t know the difference between a Kid’s Show and a Family Show it’s the difference in ratio between kids and adults. There is typically one adult per 20-30 kids at a Kid’s Show and closer to a 1 -1 ratio at a Family Show.
Here’s my Evaporation gimmick set and ready to go inside the lid of my case:
I use the inside of the lid of my case as a shelf to keep props on. People always ask me what the stuff inside my case is, so from left to right you have: Flea Circus Props, Post Cards, Two Silver Dollars, Evaporation, and some Confetti.
