When I make up batches of Evaporation gimmicks I do it in batches of typically at least a dozen.

When I make them I also leak test each bottle to make sure they have working seals. Sometimes in shipping the seal will get damaged, this has only happened a handful of time. This is more likely when you order your Evaporation from a magic shop and there are other heavy items in the box with it and the post office/UPS/ FedEx is practicing juggling with your box. If that happens give me a call or shoot me an email and we’ll get it sorted out for you.

I use Evaporation in several shows that I present. Currently I use it in my Kid’s Show and my Family Show. If you don’t know the difference between a Kid’s Show and a Family Show it’s the difference in ratio between kids and adults. There is typically one adult per 20-30 kids at a Kid’s Show and closer to a 1 -1 ratio at a Family Show.

Here’s my Evaporation gimmick set and ready to go inside the lid of my case:

I use the inside of the lid of my case as a shelf to keep props on. People always ask me what the stuff inside my case is, so from left to right you have: Flea Circus Props, Post Cards, Two Silver Dollars, Evaporation, and some Confetti.

A little while ago I made a custom Evaporation bottle out of a baby bottle:

Did you notice that there was no label on the bottle? The very early versions of the Evaporation gimmick was built into single serving milk bottles without labels like the ones you’d by in a gas station.

The reason I switched to using Orange or Red colored juice is the color “pops” against most backgrounds. For example when doing school assemblies against a gym wall which are typically colored white it can make the liquid hard to see.

I can gimmick make many different types of bottles with the Evaporation gimmick. Not every type of bottle works with the gimmick, however many do. Feel free to give me a call at 206-669-3928 to chat about customizing an Evaporation bottle for you.
